PE “Transmitters and communications” within the European Heritage Day and, on the occasion of World Tourism Day, organized a number of all-day content for visitors of all ages on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the tower complex on Avala. Cultural Heritage and Nature is this year’s topic of the European Heritage Day, and exactly on Avala, which is a region of exceptional qualities and protected natural beauty, we presented our natural treasures, cultural heritage and the life of people from villages around Avala – Beli Potok, Pinosava, Zuce, Ripanj and Vrčin.
Valuable hosts prepared visitors jams from forest and other fruits, juices, brandy, wine, cheese that were tasted free, and they could also be bought.
On the plateau beneath the tower where this organic food and products bazaar was set up, a harmonica was heard with the young people from KUD Milan Đ. Milicevic “from Ripanj..
The ethno store “Good Story”, which is part of the Avala Tower, has shown its skills in the workshop of old crafts. In the newly opened gallery there is an exhibition of paintings that reflects the traditional spirit with prominent handmade works of our culture. The accent is on three contents: Old crafts, Beautiful Serbian women and Wine and brandy, and the exhibition will be open until the end of October.
More than 2,000 people who visited this event could virtually visit other Belgrade attractions: parks, War Island, Skadarlija. The VR spectacles were enjoyed by the most strangers and the smallest. On the green surfaces of the tower complex, the youngest from Belgrade Scout Association raised several tents and invited new scouts to join them.
Parents with children did not care about the fun of their little ones. The Association for Recreation and Fitness of Serbia in sports fields has set up a polygon with props, where competitions and fun games are organized with the support of sports animators. The horse club Aleksandar from Pinosava treated the little ones with his horses. If weather conditions are to last, we will surely repeat this gathering, which tourists, excursionists and hosts from Podavalska settlements liked.
Avala is an ideal Belgrade resort for recreation, entertainment, excellent spending and socializing of the whole family, which is confirmed by the record number of visitors this year. Namely, for the first eight months, the Avala Tower was visited by over 100 thousand people, and only in August, more than 20 thousand visitors. This is the best indicator of the success achieved in the first year of implementation of the development project of this complex, which was implemented by PE “Transmitters and communications” with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the City of Belgrade.
